トラックリストカリフォルニア州の海岸沿いの小さな町でその事件は起こった。いつもと変わらぬある晴れた日、時計の針が午前１０時を刻んだその瞬間、突然、町で生活していた全住民が意識不明でその場に倒れこんだ。そして事件発生から６時間後の午後４時、住民達はまるで何事もなかったかの様に目を覚ました。が、変化は静かに起こり始めていた。その日を境に女性の住民達全員が“妊娠”していたのだ……。
