世界の名匠、黒澤明監督の「乱」のサウンドトラック盤がアナログ盤にて登場!
トラックリスト「羅生門」、「七人の侍」、「影武者」など世界的に絶賛された名作は数知れず、同作品は世界に向けた大作として制作され、日本の伝説とシェイクスピアの「リア王」をモチーフにした作品として知られている。
音楽は武満徹。黒澤作品の主要な映画のサウンドトラックを数多く発表しており、映画における黒澤と同様に、世界的にも賞賛が寄せられる名匠である。
本作ではマーラーにインスパイアされたスコアを40テイクにも及ぶバラバラの音楽で提供するよう依頼され、結果、妖しく不気味なサウンドがスクリーンのイメージを完璧に捉えている。当初は2つの組曲としてリリースされたが、今回はそれらを含み、さらに14曲の武満のスコアが追加され、初めてカラーLPでの登場となる。
