『プレデター:バッドランド』は、ダン・トラクテンバーグ監督による大人気SFシリーズ再始動の新たな一章です。この復活劇は『プレデター:ザ・プレイ』から始まり、昨年のアニメ・アンソロジー『Predator: Killer of Killers(原題)』へと続いてきました。本作『バッドランド』では、宇宙で最も危険な惑星で狩りを行い、家族からの認められようと奮闘する若きYautja(プレデター)の戦士「Dek」の物語が描かれます。旅の途中、彼は自身も家族の問題を抱える「Thia」という名のアンドロイド(シンセティック)と衝突します。彼らは惑星の数少ない住人たちとともに、一連の壮絶で華々しい戦いの中に救いを見出していくことになります。
Mutant, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and 20th Century Studios, is proud to present the premiere physical media release of the original soundtrack to Predator: Badlands, featuring an original score by Sarah Schachner and Benjamin Wallfisch.
Predator: Badlands continues Dan Trachtenberg's revival of the beloved sci-fi series, that started with Prey, and continued last year with the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers. Badlands tells the story of a young Yautja warrior named Dek as he seeks the approval of his family by hunting on the most dangerous planet in the universe. Along the way he collides with a synthetic named Thia with family issues of her own. Together with a few other inhabitants on the planet, they find salvation in several amazing glorious battles.
"Dan Trachtenberg's Predator revival should be the blueprint for how to tell new stories in old universes," says Mo Shafeek, co-founder of Mutant. "Working with composers Sarah Schachner and Benjamin Wallfisch he finds a duo, not unlike Dek and Thia, who come together to make one of the most compelling scores to an action / adventure film in some time."
