THE STORY: A woman discovers that her new house is inhabited by the ghost of a passionate young concert pianist who died tragically thirty-five years earlier.
THE SCORE: “Crafting the score for this film was a joyous experience, as it allowed me to explore four distinct sonic realms interwoven throughout the narrative. Initially, the music accompanies moments of suspense as we follow Lisa Wagner’s eerie discoveries in her haunted home. The introduction of the whimsical “soul collectors” adds a lighter, comedic touch. As Lisa’s connection with the ghost, Eddie Conway, deepens, the score evolves into a tender romance. Eddie, a talented pianist and composer, finds inspiration in Lisa, leading to the creation of his piano concerto, “Variations on an Afterlife”. The consistent element running through these sonic landscapes is the presence of strings and piano, serving as the backbone of the score and reflecting the emotional depth of the characters’ journeys. Writer/director Pece Dingo’s love for music guided our creative process, with a focus on the string orchestra and piano. We recorded a string orchestra and I had the pleasure of performing the piano parts in the film. One of the highlights of composing the score for me was writing the piano concerto piece for the end of the film and then working backwards, gradually revealing Eddie’s progress as he crafted the piece throughout the storyline. Initially, only a few notes were heard, evolving into additional bars until the piece was performed in its entirety by Lisa on piano at the film’s conclusion. He has composed music for many movies and TV shows appearing on SyFy, WB, Lifetime, Hallmark, Starz, and others including Uncharitable featuring Dan Pallotta and Edward Norton, Epic Games’ worldwide phenomenon videogame Fortnite, Country Crush, Earthfall and Random Encounters as well as the 9-episode digital series, Dead Women Walking produced by Blackpills and directed by Cannes Filmmaking alumnus Hagar Ben-Asher. Emir has composed additional music for Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Paramount Pictures’ The Lost City and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, Lionsgate’s Shotgun Wedding, SyFy Channel Original TV Series Krypton, Netflix Originals The Angel and Family Switch. He worked on Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel, Netflix’s Slumberland and the Pixar short Purl as an arranger.

トラックリストストーリー： 病院に入院したルルは、助けを求めて泣き叫ぶ少女を目撃する。ルルが目を覚ますと、少女の姿はなかった。しかし、ここからルルの人生は一変する。誰かが、あるいは何かが、彼女を尾行しているようなのだ。
スコア： 『PARANOIA』は、超常現象とホラーの要素を取り入れたサイコスリラーだ。主人公のルルは、学校のプレッシャーや近親者の死など、多くのストレスに悩まされている。彼女はローザと呼ばれる少女の幽霊と絆を結んでいるようで、死者を見ることができるという同級生のマッズに助けを求める。彼らは一緒にデンマークのロボトミー手術の暗い歴史を発見し、ローザの人生と彼女を助ける方法を調査する。音楽は、観客が望む形で映画を読み解くためのジャンル映画の定石を確かに備えているが、例えばジェリー・ゴールドスミスの影響を受けたダークなサイコ・スリラーのスタイルにより傾いている。しかし、ルルとマッズの関係が進展していく様子も描いているため、より繊細な--ロマンチックですらある--要素が必要だった。パヴィ・セヴェレイデが素晴らしい演奏をするハープを、このような儚い瞬間にフィーチャーした楽器として取り入れることにした。サウンド面では、私のスタイルに忠実なオーガニックな音源を使ったが、シンセサイザーはこれまで使ったことがないほどたくさん入っている。ブダペストで弦楽オーケストラとテクスチャーのセッションを行い、緊迫した瞬間のための素材を集めた。キューの土台の多くは、オーガニックな感触を残すこれらのサウンドスケープを中心に作られている。ハッリ・クーシヤルヴィ（Harri Kuusijarvi）には、本当にひねくれた狂気の瞬間のために壊れたアコーデオンを演奏してもらった。このスコアによって、観る人がルルの儚い世界に近づき、不安定な心を持つキャラクターとして親近感を抱いてくれることを願っている。表面的なゴーストストーリーの下には、現代の若者のメンタルヘルスというかなり深い問題があり、軽い娯楽にしてはいけない深刻な問題だ。私が目指したのは、映画的なスムーズなストーリー進行を保ちながら、このようなもろいテーマを引き出すことでした。出来上がりを楽しみにしていてください - ペッシ・レヴァント
