World Premiere CD Release. 77 minutes of music, including 10 minutes of music never released before. 8-page CD booklet with liner notes by Sylvain Pfeffer.
In collaboration with Philippe Jakko and Gaumont, Music Box Records presents the premiere CD releases of two Philippe Jakko scores: Le C?ur en braille (Heartstrings) (Michel Boujenah, 2016) and Que d’amour ! (Just Love!) (Valerie Donzelli, 2013).
Composer, session musician, conductor, Philippe Jakko (Allies, Kaufman's Game) is a relative newcomer to the film music community and proves that he is one of the most talented composers of his generation. This album enables us to listen to two of his most praised works which were only available on digital format.
Philippe Jakko composed two very delightful scores, featuring memorable main themes and soft melodies with prominent thematic qualities which are often reminiscent of Georges Delerue’s works in his Neo-Baroque style. The original soundtrack of Que d'amour ! earned Philippe Jakko the Jerry Goldsmith Award (Spain) in 2017. This limited edition also includes several unreleased themes of Le C?ur en braille that were not used in the final cut of the film.
The 8-page booklet features an essay by Sylvain Pfeffer discussing both films and scores based on an original interview with the composer. Limited Edition.
