“''Revelations of a Sex Maniac to the Chief of the Mobile Squad'' is a 1972 crime film directed by Roberto Bianchi Montero, director of many films belonging especially to the western and erotic strands; the latter genre is here mixed with thriller and noir, for an excellent final result. The soundtrack is here entrusted to the well-known pianist, arranger and composer Giorgio Gaslini (1929-2014); among the most important Italian jazz musicians ever, he boasts an uncommon prolificacy, and a vast production also in the field of soundtracks. In the case of ''Revelations...'' he realizes with a handful of notes a memorable theme and enriches it with arrangements typical of the orchestral pop of those years, adding an elegant touch of easy-listening jazz and lounge atmospheres. Overall, a very varied work in which 'light' and romantic sounds coexist with darker and more abstract ones, made with only string instruments and percussion. Originally released in 1972, the soundtrack to ''Revelations...'' is now reissued on LP for the first time in over 50 years! Yellow vinyl edition with audio remastered by Claudio Fuiano and with five bonus tracks released for the first time on vinyl!!!
