Digitmovies releases Robby Poitevin's "The hired killer" (aka "Tecnica di un omicidio" - "Ich heise John Harris" - "Technique d'un meurtre" - "Tecnica de um homicidio") OST on LP, in complete edition.
THE SOUNDTRACK Robby Poitevin (24-10-1926 / 3-10-2003) represents the Italian Film Music school, very close, for its lounge sounds, to that of his American collegues, such as Lalo Schifrin, Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones and Hugo Montenegro. Other than being an extremely valid arranger and orchestra leader, Maestro Poitevin composed jazz, blues and swing themes, like those for "The hired killer", which is part of the police and spy current. For this genre, the composer also created other remarkable soundtracks, like "Assassination", "L'uomo del colpo perfetto", "Quella carogna dell'ispettore Sterling", "A.D.3 Operazione squalo bianco". In 1966 RCA published an LP for the promo series SP (SP 8017), which had nine selections for a total running time of 19:06 minutes. In 2009 GDM Music printed out this OST, for the very first time on CD (GDM 4018), with three extra tracks, pairing it with "Quella carogna dell'ispettore Sterling". We are reprinting the nine tracks of the original promo LP and, along with the three bonus tracks of the previous GDM's CD, we are adding four more unpublished tracks, discovered in the original recording session's mono masters, which bring the total running time of the LP up to 37:04 minutes. Robby Poitevin composed an elegant music, inspired by jazz, blues and American swing, creating calm and mysterious athmospheres as well as pure action ones. Among hired assassins, bullets and homicides there is also a love theme, arranged in different versions such as Bossa and sung by female voice.

卓越した狙撃の腕を買われ、組織の殺し屋として生きてきた男、クリント。自分の腕が既にピークを過ぎたことを自覚したクリントは、裏の世界から足を洗う決心をする。しかし敵対する組織の急襲を受け肉親を殺されてしまう。復讐を誓ったクリントは、組織の人間を伴い、敵の本拠地パリへと向かった。そこでは耐え難い裏切りと陰謀が彼を待ち受けていた。 これはマカロニＢ級アクションのひとつの到達点と言ってもいいだろう。この作品のヒットによって「続・殺しのテクニック／人間標的」「新・殺しのテクニック／次はお前だ！」などのタイトルを冠した作品が公開されたが、もちろんダイレクトな関係はない。
