Howlin' Wolf Records proudly presents Christoph Allerstorfer's score for THE JACK IN THE BOX: AWAKENING (2022). The setting for the sequel to writer/director Lawrence Fowler's 2019 demon monster horror flick, THE JACK IN THE BOX, is the Rosewood Manor estate where Olga Marsdale, played by Nicola Wright, is dying from terminal osteosarcoma. The film has an unsettling sense of isolation, and while set in modern times, maintains an eerie period feel with superb set design, cinematography, and a creature that is, simply put, nightmarishly terrifying. The gripping story blurs the lines between the monsters in our darkest imagination and the real "monsters" that lurk everywhere. Fowler delivers a horror film in the mold of classic monster movies featuring a terrifying and relentless creature whose inhuman gurgling and rasping shrieks are the stuff of nightmares.
