"Panna Nobody" is one of the most famous films made in the 1990s. Based on the novel by Tomasz Tryzna, the film tells the story of a fifteen-year-old girl who moves from the countryside to the city and is unable to find herself in the new reality. Newly met friends have a significant impact on her psyche, drawing her into a dangerous game. The dark painting was accompanied by the intriguing music of Andrzej Korzy?ski, considered one of his greatest achievements of this decade. It is mainly electronic music, based on monotonous, gloomy sequences, juxtaposed with several lyrical themes exposing Korzy?ski's melodic sense.
The original recording sessions during the soundtracking of the film were heavily edited. Some of these measures were repeated on the occasion of the first disc version, published in 1996 by the Koch publishing house - fragments of dialogues from the film and sound effects were added to the recordings, and some themes were supplemented with additional instrumental parts and loops. This edition repeats some of the material known from the first CD release, but omits fragments strictly focused on dialogues and sound design. Instead, there appear (where possible) the original versions of the themes and other compositions prepared with the film in mind.
