高校生アレックスは修学旅行に旅立つ離陸前の飛行機の中で居眠りし、飛行機が離陸直後に大爆発するという悪夢を見る。飛び起きて「この飛行機は爆発する！」と叫ぶアレックスに周囲は騒然。この騒ぎに巻き込まれた数人の同級生と先生、アレックスの7人は飛行機から降りるが、彼の言葉通り飛行機は大爆発。それから数日後、生き残りの1人である親友トッドにまたも奇妙な予兆を感じたアレックスはトッドの家に急ぐが、彼はすでに帰らぬ人となっていた。
