Digitmovies is pleased to release, for the first time on CD, the complete edition OST by Riz Ortolani for the comedy “On My Way to the Crusades, I Met a Girl Who...” (“La Cintura Di Castita’).
Soundtrack: Riz Ortolani composed a pleasant score with an amusing recurring theme emerging. It is introduced in the opening titles by an organ, wind chimes and ringing bells and is carried out by a choir of whistles (performed by the Cantori Moderni of Alessandroni). This then develops into a rhythmic military-like march with horns and is alternated with a romantic love theme performed by strings. C.A.M. had previously released an LP (MAG 10.006) with twelve monos (30 min.). Thanks to the mono master tapes from the original recording session, we were able to discover unedited material. The Ortolani family gave us permission to create the complete CD (48:28).

Starring Monica Vitti, Tony Curtis, Hugh Griffith, John Richardson, Ivo Garrani, Nino Castelnuovo, Francesco Mule, Franco Sportelli, Gabriella Giorgelli, Umberto Raho, Leopoldo Trieste, Mimmo Poli, Mariella Palmich, Dada Gallotti, Ugo Adinolfi, Franco Fantasia.
Plot: During the Crusades against the Moors, Guerrando, a rookie knight, is forced to leave for war before having time to consummate his marriage to Boccadoro, the beautiful daughter of his keeper. He put a chastity belt on his wife to prevent her from being unfaithful while he was away, which was customary at the time. Boccadoro, offended by his lack of trust, secretly follows him and finds the key to the belt.
Shortly after arriving at the Christian camp, Guerrando is captured by a group of enemies and later the same thing happens to Boccadoro. The Sultan Ibn-el-Rascid has taken a fancy to Boccadoro and tries to trick her, but is saved by Guerrando. The arrival of the Christian army and the positive outcome of the battle allows the couple to return to their domain and they can happily start their married life together. ---レーベルより
