Digitmovies is pleased to release, for the first time on CD (in full stereo), the OST by Gianni Ferrio for the murder-mystery film “Perversion Story” (“I caldi amori di una minorenne”).
Soundtrack:
In this OST we have a mix of string passages which change from romantic to melancholic, psychedelic and jazz motifs, and a lot of upbeat lounge music both instrumental and with vocals performed by the Cantori Moderni of Alessandroni.
At that time, C.A.M had released a stereo LP (SAG 9021) containing 18 tracks selected and edited by the composer for listening purposes (31:56min). Out of respect for Ferrio, we decided to leave the edited version from the original LP on CD 1 and on CD 2 we put all the music from the original master tapes as they were recorded for the film, including the alternative takes (102 min). This is a real treat for fans of 70s music.

Plot:
Katrin, a girl who left her family to live a free and independent existence, kills herself for apparently no reason by jumping out of a window. Her brother Richard is convinced she was murdered or pressured into committing suicide by someone, and so he begins to investigate. With the help of one of Katrin’s friends, he gets into contact with the hippies in the city who Katrin used to hang out with. Despite their detest and reluctance, Richard is finally able to resolve the mystery of his sister’s death. Katrin was driven to suicide after listening to an ancient song called “The signs of the Apocolypse” (“Le trombe dell'Apocalisse”). According to the legend, which Katrin wanted to verify, listening to the song along with taking a certain Oriental drug would cause such extreme obsessive tendencies that suicide was the only way out. ---レーベルより
