He is rushed into a classified mission, where he is haunted by his past and challenged by a rogue KGB group (led by David Duchovny) bent on seizing control of the ship's nuclear missile. Jeff Rona delivers a mysterious and suspenseful score. At times hypnotic and eerie, then again energized and action pact, the score beautifully captures the tension between the main protagonists and the agonizing dilemma faced by the submarine's captain.
