How was the Academy Award-winning film "The Boy And The Heron"?
This two-hour documentary brings to light what was happening at Studio Ghibli in an unusually exclusive seven-year period.
Two "madnesses" were at war with each other. Film director Miyazaki Hayao tries to open the "lid" on his brain in order to immerse himself in the world of film. Producer Toshio Suzuki is plotting to drive Miyazaki even further into madness and create an unprecedented masterpiece. They are the film's "accomplices", lying, deceiving and gloating, yet they need each other most of all. This is the very relationship that Miyazaki depicts in this film between the main characters "Mano" and "Aosagi". Reality and delusion. The two of them straddle these two worlds and embark on a great adventure together. How did they try to live in the "twilight" as their friends, with whom they had made films together, passed away one after another? Was it friendship that brought them together or...? The answers lie in this video record.
