The ultimate Galaxy Sports Entertainment event of the spring is about to begin!
TBS has announced that it will broadcast "GIFT" in its Sunday Theatre slot this April.
The protagonist, Fumito Go, is a cosmologist blessed with a genius?perhaps even too brilliant?mind and vast knowledge. Whilst serving as an associate professor at university, he conducts research into "black holes". Because he is so brilliant, he speaks his mind without malice, leading him to become isolated from those around him. A lonely man who has found his sole purpose in life in identifying complex problems that interest him and deriving solutions, he has avoided conflict and confrontation with others. By chance, Go Tetsu finds himself observing a training session of the "Blaze Bulls", a wheelchair rugby team coached by his cousin. There, he meets a group of unique players with various disabilities. To these players, who had been languishing and had lost all motivation and hope, Go Tetsu suddenly declares:
"I'll make sure you win. I'll make this team the best in Japan." This is a story of bonds and rebirth, in which he discovers the importance of friends and family by genuinely clashing with them, both mentally and physically, whilst devising solutions to the challenges facing this underdog team.
The music is composed by Yuki Hayashi, who has worked on numerous anime series and television dramas.
