TBS broadcasts "The Tagusari Brothers" in its Friday drama slot for the April 2026 season.
This completely original crime thriller follows the "Tagusari Brothers", who, despite the abolition of the statute of limitations for murder and other offences on 27 April 2010, saw the statute of limitations for their parents' murder expire by a mere two days. Having become police officers to bring the perpetrator to justice with their own hands?since the law can no longer do so?they continue to pursue the truth behind the case.
Bearing a heavy burden, Shin and Minoru have become police officers, pursuing the true culprit behind their parents' murder 31 years ago whilst dealing with the relentless stream of violent crimes that occur daily.
Will the "Tagusari Brothers" finally track down the true culprit…? What fate awaits the two of them?
The music is composed by Harumi Fuuki, who became the youngest recipient of the Excellence in Music Award at the 36th Japan Academy Film Awards for her work on the film "Memoirs of My Mother", and who has composed music for numerous films and television programmes.
