TOKI SUDE NI OSUSHI!?

A feel-good drama packed with laughter, romance and sushi!

TBS will broadcast "TOKI SUDE NI OSUSHI!?" in its Tuesday drama slot this April.
The protagonist is Minato Machiyama, a 50-year-old woman who, since losing her husband in an unexpected accident 14 years ago, has devoted her life entirely to her only son. This spring, with her son having left home, she finds herself with "time for herself" for the first time in decades, yet has no idea what to do with it. By chance, she stumbles upon the "Sushi Academy", a place where you can become a sushi chef in just three months. There, she encounters a strict instructor with an almost excessive respect for sushi, as well as classmates of all ages and personalities. Through these various encounters, Minato takes her first steps towards living "for herself".
Furthermore, Minato?who has spent her life running tirelessly for others?and the strict instructor, who has avoided deep connections with others, are polar opposites. Yet, in this new environment, the two gradually find a connection. It's never too late to start something new! This life-affirming drama, depicting adults who struggle yet find joy in living authentically, will help ease the emotional blockages in the daily lives of every viewer.
The music is composed by Sayaka Aoki, who has previously worked on the TBS Tuesday drama "My Second Aoharu" and the TBS Friday drama "The Lion's Hideaway".
