An ‘extreme family suspense’ where lies and truth intertwine begins!
A completely original script by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has woven not only suspense where the next move is impossible to predict?such as in Sunday Theatre's "The Last Man: The Blind Detective"?but also exquisite human dramas.
The first protagonist, Riku Hayase, is a gentle, kind-hearted patissier who runs Hayase Patisserie with his wife, son, and mother. However, the story begins to unfold when, two and a half years after his wife's disappearance, a detective appears before Hayase claiming her body has been found. The other protagonist, Ayumu Gido, a detective from the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, appears at Hayase's shop. He is a corrupt cop with connections to the underworld. Before Hayase could grieve his wife's death, he was framed with fabricated evidence and arrested as her killer. To find the true murderer and prove his innocence, he abandons his beloved family and past, resolving to undergo a "reboot" - becoming Gido. A whirlwind of lies and truth swirls around the death of a loved one, unfolding at a breakneck pace unprecedented in Sunday Theatre history in this "extreme family suspense".
The music is woven together by the first collaboration between Takashi Ohmama, known for numerous hit works including "Eye Love You", and Hideaki Kimura, who has worked on many Sunday Theatre productions such as "Grand Maison Tokyo".
