TBS will broadcast "MADOKA 26SAI, KENSHU-I YATTEMASU! (DIARY OF A SURGICAL RESIDENT: MADOKA)" is broadcasted in the Tuesday drama slot in the January season. The protagonist is Madoka Wakatsuki, a first-year intern in her first year as a doctor. Because she has always been able to study well, she is lured into medical school by those around her. She takes her first steps into residency, but cannot hide her confusion at the unexpected adversity of the changing medical field due to the reform of the way of working in 2021. The two years of residency are an important and difficult time in a woman's life as a doctor, when two major choices come at once, but she is a carefree woman who likes to say ‘I'll manage somehow! is her habitual phrase, but as she spends her days with her fellow trainee doctors, she can't hide her surprise that her peers have a clear vision and idea of their future... In this film, ‘Even doctors want to be happy!’ This is a story of the growth of the main character, a resident doctor who wishes to ‘be happy, even as a doctor!’ and who, in the changing medical field due to the reform of the working style of 2021, is sarcastically and perplexingly told that ‘residents are customers’, but faces the trials of veteran doctors, encourages her fellow classmates and describes her intense two years facing life as a doctor and as a girl. Music is by composer Takuro Iga, who is also active as a pianist.
