Original soundtrack from TBS's Sunday theatre slot UMI NI NEMURU DIAMOND (Diamonds in the Sea). This is an epic story of love, youth, friendship and family over a period of 70 years, set on Hashima Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, which has made great strides in the coal industry since 1955, and in modern-day Tokyo. The film spins a tale of family ties, human relationships, youth and love in the post-war reconstruction period and the period of rapid economic growth, "a time when nothing was as it seemed, but dreams were full of energy and vitality". At the same time, it is a timeless human love entertainment that depicts today's "a time when seemingly everything is available, but young people cannot have dreams" and finds hope from the past that can be passed on to the present. The dramas UNNATURAL and MIU404, created by hit makers Akiko Nogi (scriptwriter), Ayuko Tsukahara (director) and Junko Arai (producer), attracted a great deal of attention, and many drama fans have been waiting for a film by the three of them together. This is the first Sunday theatre production by this team, and it is different from their previous works in a good way, warming the hearts of the viewers. The music composed by Naoki Sato, who has composed the music for various hit films such as Always: Sunset on Third Street and Godzilla Minus One.
