The main character, Ichiro Ogawa, is a "Showa-era uncle" who accidentally travels back in time from 1986 to the present day in 2024. He is a junior high school gym teacher and baseball team advisor, and is feared as "Hell's Ogawa" because of his rough language. Ichiro, however, is also an ordinary father who has lost his wife to illness and is at home dealing with the delinquent behavior of his only daughter. Ichiro, a "Showa-era man" with little awareness of compliance, makes remarks that are just barely "inappropriate" in 2021, but his extreme opinions give the people of 2021, who are bound by compliance rules, something to think about. Even though the times have changed from the Showa era to the 2025 era, some things remain unchanged, such as parents' feelings for their children, children's feelings of estrangement from their parents, and feelings of love for someone else.
