Reissue. Les choses de la vie is a 1970 French film directed by Claude Sautet. It was nominated for the Golden Palm at the 1970 Cannes Film Festival. The film was a success in France with 2,959,682 admissions becoming the 8th highest earning film of the year.
Track ListLes Choses de la Vie is an intense mature story of love and sacrifice, a double one at the end. Claude Sautet takes the expectator ''inside the scene''. He has this ability that allows him to extract the most of his characters in the psychologic aspect, by showing all the range of their feelings.
In 1994 there was a U.S. remake entitled INTERSECTION, directed by Mark Rydell and starring Richard Gere and Sharon Stone.
The best love story ever made in France, together with the best music score composed by Philippe Sarde who began a long career with this soundtrack. He is one of the most versatile and talented French film composers, with the ability to find a unique approach to each film that he scored.
