The world’s most iconic erotica has only one name, and her sexually seismic saga begins here: The 1974 global breakthrough film EMMANUELLE - presented in its Original Theatrical Version and Director’s Cut - marked the debuts of star Sylvia Kristel and director Just Jaeckin and forever changed depictions of female sensuality on screen. Kristel returned in 1975’s EMMANUELLE 2 featuring a lush soundtrack by Academy AwardR winner Francis Lai. The original trilogy bids farewell with 1977’s GOODBYE EMMANUELLE, again starring Kristel and featuring a score by the legendary Serge Gainsbourg. The final film is also the first, as Erika Blanc stars in the rarely seen and darkly provocative 1969 Italian production I, EMMANUELLE, inspired by the then-newly published memoir by Emmanuelle Arsan. All 4 films in this limited edition collection are now scanned in 4K from their original camera negatives, with 15+ combined hours of new & archival Special Features, 2 Bonus Soundtrack CDs and a 128 page booklet of essays, Sylvia Kristel artwork and more.
Discs 1-3: EMMANUELLE (1974)
It launched the iconic careers of director Just Jaeckin and star Sylvia Kristel, redefined cultural perceptions of ‘adult entertainment’ and transformed female sexuality on screen forever. Now "the seminal film of ‘70s erotic cinema" (DVD Talk) can be experienced in UHD for the first time in North America: Based on the bestselling memoir by Emmanuelle Arsan, a diplomat’s wife (Kristel) unlocks her deepest carnal desires in the bedrooms and backrooms of Bangkok. This 3 disc presentation includes the Original Theatrical Version and Director’s Cut - which removes the one sequence filmed without Jaeckin’s permission - both scanned in 4K from the original camera negative by StudioCanal and approved by camera operator Robert Fraisse, with over 6 hours of Special Features that include a revealing new featurette on Arsan, the U.S. Premiere of the 2000 documentary A HARD LOOK directed by Alex Cox (REPO MAN) and much more.

Umberto Orsini (GOODBYE EMMANUELLE) and Venantino Venantini (EMANUELLE AND THE WHITE SLAVE TRADE) co-star in the international erotic classic directed by fashion photographer Francis Giacobetti "that pushes softcore boundaries to their limits" (DVD Beaver), now scanned in 4K from the original camera negative by StudioCanal and approved by cinematographer Robert Fraisse, with 3+ hours of new & archival Special Features that include on-set interviews with Kristel, rare behind-the-scenes footage and Giacobetti’s final interview before his death, plus a Bonus Soundtrack CD and more.

Discs 9-11: I, EMMANUELLE (1969)
The first-ever Emmanuelle movie is this virtually unknown and rarely seen 1969 Italian production inspired by the then-newly published memoir by Emmanuelle Arsan: In a career-best performance by Erika Blanc of THE DEVIL’S NIGHTMARE and THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE fame, a despondent newswoman in search of tenderness takes on multiple lovers in a cold world of loveless contradictions. Adolfo Celi (THUNDERBALL, DANGER: DIABOLIK) and Sandro Pizzochero (THE SLASHER IS THE SEX MANIAC) co-star in this "thoughtful, realistic and anything-but-typical sex flick" (Video Vacuum) directed by Cesare Canevari (THE GESTAPO’S LAST ORGY) from a screenplay co-written by journalist/activist/folksinger Graziella Di Prospero with a score by Gianni Ferrio (DEATH WALKS AT MIDNIGHT), now scanned in 4K from the original camera negative with nearly 3 hours of Special Features that include rare archival interviews with Canevari and Blanc, plus a Bonus Soundtrack CD.
