Memorial album of Takeo Watanabe, a master of film music composer, released 91 years after his birth and 35 years after his death!

SOUNDTRACK LABORATORY will release "Takeo Watanabe: Drama Music Memorial" as the 36th release under the "SOUNDTRACK PUB" label on August 28, 2024.

This is a collection of TV drama works by Takeo Watanabe (1933-1989), a master of film music composer who composed for many masterpieces such as TV dramas "Shinsengumi Keppuroku", "Lone Wolf and Cub" and "Hijo no License (Ruthless License)", TV animations "Star of the Giants", "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" and "Mobile Suit Gundam" and movies "Hibotan Bakuto (The Valiant Red Peony)".

Although many soundtrack albums and collections of Takeo Watanabe's music have been released, this album collects his works from the late 70's and 80's, which have not been released until now, such as "Shiroi Kyotou (The Great White Tower)" (1978), a masterpiece in the history of TV dramas, the humorous "Asa Gohan Nuki? (Without Breakfast?)" (1979), "Gokinjo no Hoshi (Neighborhood Star)" (1979), the heart-wrenching omnibus drama "Tsuma-tachi wa... (Wives...)" (1982), the Yumie Hiraiwa drama series "Hana Matsuri" (1982), "Hana Hotel" (1983), the one-shot mystery drama "Onna to Onna Hanayaka na Haru (Women and Women: Gorgeous Spring)" (1987), and a drama special broadcast the year Takeo Watanabe The year Takeo Watanabe passed away, the drama special "Kekkon Koshinkyoku (The Wedding March)" (1989) was aired. Enjoy the sound of Takeo Watanabe, which is different from that of the early 70's.
