The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" was a popular animation based on Mark Twain's original story ("The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"), which was broadcast as the sixth film of "The World Masterpiece Theater". The songs and music of the film have been compiled on two CDs!
The music is composed by Katsuhisa Hattori, who regrettably passed away in 2020, and was one of the leading arrangers in the Japanese pop music world. He composed all of the theme songs, insert songs, and music for the film (BGM). From humorous songs to dramatic songs and easy-listening style pop songs, a wide variety of music colors the joyful adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
This album is the definitive version including the songs previously released on vinyl and CD, plus first-time on CD and previously unreleased music. The music collection album "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" released by Canyon Records at the time of the broadcast has been reissued in its original configuration (the instrumental tracks recorded in stereo are on CD for the first time!). The complete original score (background music) used in the film is also included. Also included as bonus tracks are the original karaoke versions of the two theme songs!
