BATTLE GAREGGA 30th ANNIV. REMIX

A remix album that takes the BGM even further into the realm of club music. "Battle Garegga" is a vertically scrolling arcade shooting game developed by Eighting Co., Ltd. Since its arcade debut in 1996, it has remained a legendary title with a devoted following for 30 years. The game's music was composed by Manabu Namiki. Filled with love and respect for dance music, particularly Detroit techno, its BGM made a tremendous impact on the game music scene at the time. This album aims to take the BGM of "Battle Garegga" beyond the scrolling gameplay, reinterpreting it from fresh perspectives to further enhance its appeal. The lineup of remixers brings together composers who were creating music that fused games and dance music during the same era as "Battle Garegga," DJs and trackmakers who have been active in the club scene since the 1990s, game players influenced by the music of "Battle Garegga," and artists who are actively creating new forms of game and dance music today. Together, they approach the music from multiple angles, reconstructing and expanding upon its original sound. [Remixers] HIROSHI WATANABE, Q'HEY, TAKAMI, Shinji Hosoe, Kentaro Fukui, Ryu*, Hommarju, loopdrive, REV-TUNE, Atsushi Ohara.
