BROTHERS IN ARMS (TOYOTOMI BROTHERS!) Original Soundtrack Vol.3 (NHK Epic Drama)

Brothers in Arms (Toyotomi Brothers!) (NHK Taiga Drama) Original Soundtrack Vol. 3 is here. The 65th Taiga drama centers on Toyotomi Hidenaga, the younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who unified Japan, and an unparalleled right-hand man. From the perspective of the celebrated strategist about whom it has been said, "If Hidenaga had lived longer, the Toyotomi family's rule would have been secure," the music vividly colors a dynamic rise-to-power success story set amid the upheaval of the Warring States period. The drama stars Taiga Nakano and was written by Hiroyuki Yatsu, who worked on the NHK serial drama "Ochoyan". Music is by Hideakira Kimura, whose score for "La Grande Maison Tokyo" received high praise, and he creates a weighty and richly emotional sound befitting an epic historical drama. In "Taiga Kiko III," an ensemble by NHK Symphony Orchestra cellist Miho Naka and violist Meguna Naka adds deep lyricism to the travelogue footage. In "Taiga Kiko IV," a perfectly coordinated guitar duo by two of Japan's leading classical guitarists, siblings Kaori Muraji and Soichi Muraji, further enriches the story's world. This disc offers a full musical experience of the story depicting the bond and miracle of the Toyotomi brothers.
