The 63rd drama, “To Hikaru Kimi”, airing from January 7, 2024. Written by Shizuka Oishi. Starring Yuriko Yoshitaka.
The main character is Murasaki Shikibu, the woman who wrote the bestseller “The Tale of Genji” over a thousand years. The story of Hikaru-kun, or Prince Hikaru, is driven by hidden passion, unparalleled imagination, and her love for one man, Fujiwara no Michinaga. This is a story of a woman who lived with her unchanging love in an ever-changing world.
The music is composed by Yumi Tohno, who has created popular works such as NHK's Saturday period drama “Ashi Girl” and the TV series “Scarlett. The third volume of the soundtrack will feature a wide variety of music that will color the second half of the drama, leading up to the emotional climax of the final episode.
