The Best of Tohoku Youth Orchestra 2013-2023

The first concert collection by the Tohoku Youth Orchestra under the musical direction of Ryuichi Sakamoto. Selections are from performances by members of the orchestra in various age groups. Piano is played by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

This is the first concert collection by the Tohoku Youth Orchestra, a group of elementary school through university students from Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima, which was born out of a project to inspect and repair musical instruments that began immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake under the direction of Ryuichi Sakamoto.
The album will include "THE LAST EMPEROR," "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence," "BEHIND THE MASK," and many other songs, as well as the first recording of "Ima Jikan ga Katamuite (Now the Time Tilts)".
