Franco Tamponi's splendid soundtrack to Mino Loy's (aka Donan J. Lee) 1962 original 'shock-u-mentary' 'Mondo Sexy di Notte' (AKA 'Mondo Sexuality'), which portrayed cabaret shows from all over the world (although many of the locations are thought to have been reconstructed in the studio), presenting an exotic sensuality that once upon a time represented a form of transgression in the film world, reserved for an adult audience only. Also, for the younger listeners perhaps it will be surprising not to hear the sound of any electronic instrument hereA?but this was the era when the orchestra reigned supreme. Lovingly restored from the original session tapes recorded in studios in Rome and Milan, where music written by the legends of the Italian film industry became the soundtracks to the great Italian films of the day.
