YAMAGUCHI-KUN WA WARUKUNAI

The much-talked-about sh?jo manga "Yamaguchi-kun Wa Warukunai (Yamaguchi-kun Isn't Bad)" by Y? Saiki (serialized in Kodansha's "Bessatsu Friend") is finally getting its long-awaited live-action adaptation! This coming-of-age love story follows Satsuki, an ordinary high school girl dreaming of romance, and Yamaguchi-kun, a transfer student with a tough-guy image and a Kansai accent. Ky?hei Takahashi of Naniwa Danshi plays Yamaguchi-kun, the protagonist who looks tough but is actually pure-hearted and kind. Hikaru Takahashi plays the heroine, Saki, an ordinary high school girl dreaming of love. Hiroshi Iwase plays Ishizaki, who stirs up trouble in Saki and Yamaguchi's relationship and becomes the heroine's love rival (?).
The music is composed by Koji Endo, who has worked on a wide range of projects from violent films to romantic comedies. In this film, the music features a rich variety of styles?from hard rock to acoustic and nostalgic sounds, as well as danceable beats?adding color to the romantic entanglements of the unique characters and their intertwining feelings.


STORY
Satsuki (Hikaru Takahashi), an ordinary girl dreaming of love, is confronted by Yamaguchi (Kyohei Takahashi), a tough-looking transfer student.
His piercing gaze, as if to say, "What are you looking at?!" leaves her classmates cowering…
?But behind that facade lies a shy, kind, and pure-hearted boy.
"I want everyone to know him… but I'm the only one who knows the real Yamaguchi."
Just then, Satsuki receives an unexpected confession from the class heartthrob, Ishizaki (Hiroshi Iwase).
He, too, harbors special feelings for Yamaguchi-kun??
The unpredictable love triangle involving Sora, Yamaguchi-kun, and Ishizaki takes off at full speed! The love lives of these three, constantly at cross-purposes, take an unexpected turn?!?
