Director Yokohama Satoko, who has consistently sparked buzz with films like "German + Rain," "Ultra Miracle Love Story," "Actor Kameoka Takuji," and "Ito Michi," has unexpectedly adapted the highly acclaimed "The Road to the Sea" series by the reclusive genius manga artist Miyoshi Gin into a film.

After auditioning approximately 800 people, Harada Kono-yu secured the lead role, portraying the protagonist S?suke, who is obsessed with creating things, with a light-hearted physicality. Additionally, As? Kumiko plays S?suke's relative Sumiko, Takara Kengo plays Takagawa, the knife seller, Yoko, Takagawa's lover, is played by Erika Karata, Risa, the real estate agent in town, is played by Ayame Goriki, Meg, who comes from Tokyo to collect a debt from an artist, is played by Koharu Sugawara, Mr. A, the mysterious art dealer, is played by Atsuhiko Suwa, Ken, the artist who comes to town, is played by Jun Murakami, Shizuka, who sells lunch on the beach, is played by Makiko Sakai, and Gor?, Shizuka's regular customer, is played by Kankur? Miyato. The strong-willed characters are vividly brought to life with rich individuality.

In addition to these adults, the cast includes Shun Aoi as Teruo, the senior of the art club's S?suke, Sh?ma Nakasu as Tachibana, the junior, Nanami Yamazaki as Hirai of the newspaper club, and Chise Nitta as Teruo's sister, among other talented young actors. The children are brought to life as they freely expand their imagination in a town filled with suspicious adults.

Additionally, Shouko it, the frontman of the legendary rap trio Dos Monos, who has received enthusiastic support from various scenes, is making his debut as a film composer. The end song that plays at the end is an unforgettable original song co-written by Shouko it and Yokohama, leaving a vivid impression.
