The 2019 17th "This Mystery is Amazing! Grand Prize", this live-action adaptation of the novel "KAIBUTSU NO KIKORI" is directed by Takashi Miike, a genius with a passionate fan base around the world! The film stars Kazuya Kamenashi in the lead role and co-stars a splendid cast including Nanao, Riho Yoshioka, Shota Sometani, and Shido Nakamura. A series of bizarre murders in which the victims' brains are removed with a murder weapon, an axe. Akira Ninomiya, a lawyer, is targeted as the next target. However, Ninomiya is a psychopath who is even crazier than the murderer! The police are in pursuit of the murderer, and Ninomiya is trying to get back at them. The storyline is unpredictable as the pursuer and the pursued keep switching places, and the "super exciting suspense" continues with outlandish settings and unexpected twists and turns.

The music is composed by Koji Endo, who has composed music for many of Miike's films. The thrilling, tense and suspiciously lonely music.
