DO UNTO OTHERS (LOST CARE)

The film adaptation of Akira Hayamanaka's novel, which won the 16th Japan Mystery Literature Award for Best Newcomer, is directed by Tetsu Maeda, winner of the 46th Hochi Film Award for Best Director for "ROGO NO SHIKIN GA ARIMASEN! (No Money for Retirement!" (2009) and "AND, THE BATON WAS PASSED (SOSHITE, BATON WA WATASARETA)" (2009).
Actor Kenichi Matsuyama plays Shiba, a serial killer who killed 42 people while working as a caregiver. The popular and talented actress Masami Nagasawa plays the role of Otomo, a prosecutor who pursues him under the justice of the law, and a tense battle unfolds as the two sides pit their "justice" against each other. The music is composed by Marihiko Hara, who garnered attention for his work on "Ruro no Tsuki" (2010), which was nominated for the Best Music Award at the 77th Mainichi Film Concours. The tense atmosphere and sad piano melody are heart-wrenching.
