That wish, deeper than despair, tougher than hate.
Koji Yakusho stars in this film with Ryo Yoshizawa as his son. The latest film by Izuru Narushima, a master of human drama whose works include "The Eighth Day of the Cicada," "Solomon's Perjury," and "Inochi no Tokuba," depicts the bond between a clumsy ceramic artist father who wishes for the happiness of his son posted to a foreign country and a young Brazilian man living in an apartment complex in a neighboring town, and tells a moving story of people trying to create a family that transcends differences in nationality, culture, and circumstances. It is a moving story of people trying to create a "family" that transcends differences in nationality, culture, and circumstances.
The music is composed by Goro Yasukawa, winner of the Best Music Award at the 35th Japan Academy Prize for his music for Narushima's "Cicada on the Eighth Day". The music is filled with tension and sadness, and the songs "Datsugoku (Jailbreak)/GREEN KIDS" and "Don't give up/ Flight-A from GREEN KIDS" were written by GREEN KIDS, a hip-hop group to which Flight-A belongs and was cast in an important role as a Brazilian of Japanese descent.
