Shigematsu Kiyoshi's immortal masterpiece "Tonbi," which depicts the bonds between parents and children that are always connected no matter how many times they are broken, has been adapted for the screen for the first time by director Zeze Takahisa, co-starring Hiroshi Abe and Takumi Kitamura.

A moving story of the enduring bond between a father who raised his son with clumsy but deep love, and his son who, with the help of the warm people of the town, grows step by step into an upright adult. Music by an Award winning composer Takatsugu Muramatsu.
