Drama adaptation of Atsuko Asa's historical novel series "Oichi Fushigi Gatari" starring Wakana Aoi and Hiroshi Tamaki.
Track ListOriginal Soundtrack from "Oichi Fushigi Gatari," which began airing on NHK BS and NHK BS Premium 4K on September 1, will be released on October 9!
Story:
Oichi helps her father, a doctor named Shoan, in his tenement house in Fukagawa, Edo, with her dream of becoming a doctor.
She had a special power.
It is the power to hear the voices and see the images of those who have passed away.
The cheerful and positive Oiichi, together with her Okabiki boss, closes in on the dark side of human nature and solves mysteries. This is a mystery period drama where the culprit is a surprise, but it is also a coming-of-age story of Oiichi's growth as a young man who, despite his troubles, forges his own path by his own strength.
"Oichi Fushigi Gatari" is a historical novel series by Atsuko Asano that can be enjoyed as both a mystery and a story of Oichi's growth.
Oichi is played by Wakana Aoi, who was the heroine in the TV series "Warotenka". Oichi's father, Shoan, is played by Hiroshi Tamaki, in his first appearance in an NHK drama since the historical drama "Seiten wo Tsuke".
The music composed by Koji Endo, who has directed numerous works by Takashi Miike, including "13 Assassins," "SUKIYAKI WESTERN: Django" and the "Mogura no Uta"” series, as well as NHK's period dramas such as "Kumokiri Nizaemon," "Bakumatsu Aubi-den" and "Ichigeki."
