The new collaboration between renowned French composer Bruno Coulais (Les Choristes, Microcosmos, Oceans, Song of the Sea) and director Benoit Jacquot, after many films together (Les adieux a la Reine, Au Fond des Bois).

Starring Lea Seydoux (La Belle et la Bete) and Vincent Lindon (Welcome), the film is an adaptation of the celebrated novel by Octave Mirbeau about a scheming servant who works for a wealthy couple in France during the late 19th century.

Bruno Coulais’ emotional and romantic score, with dark and Impressionistic passages, is performed by the Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Dirk Brosse.
The album also contains Coulais’ complete and unreleased score for 3 coeurs, a 2013 film also directed by Benoit Jacquot, starring Benoit Poelvoorde, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Chiara Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve. ---from the label.
