In Japan, it is said that about 200,000 bodies are handled as "cause of death unknown" every year. However, only about 10% of these bodies are autopsied by forensic scientists. The reality is that the cause of death, which is common in other countries, has not yet been fully investigated in Japan. Even now, the truth of many deaths remains shrouded in darkness. In order to break through this situation, it was decided to introduce the U.S. cause-of-death investigation system. MEJ (Medical Examiner Japan), a forensic team newly established under the leadership of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, has the authority to investigate the cause of death, including ordering the police to investigate and deciding on autopsies. The team not only uncovers the "hidden truth" with scientific knowledge and sharp deductions, but also faces the "feelings of those left behind" that lie ahead. The unique members of the team, who clash and grow while struggling with their own doubts, gradually overturn the common sense of Japan, which is ridiculed as a "society in which the cause of death is unknown. Fuji TV drama "LOVED ONE" original soundtrack is now on sale! The music is composed by Yoshiya Ikeda and Kota Yokozeki.
