SERENITY

Serenity is an upcoming American neo-noir thriller written and directed by Steven Knight (Taboo, Peaky Blinders). Starring Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club), Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), and Diane Lane (Unfaithful), Serenity follows a fishing boat captain who is forced to confront his mysterious past after a gorgeous woman careens into his simple life. The experience rocks his existence on his small home island in the Caribbean and leaves him questioning what is and is not real. Aviron Pictures is releasing Serenity on January 25th, 2019. Scoring duties on Serenity came to Golden Globe, BAFTA, Grammy and Emmy nominated composer Benjamin Wallfisch. Wallfisch's career spans over 70 feature films, most recently including Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed Blade Runner: 2049, in collaboration with Academy Award winning composer and regular collaborator Hans Zimmer; Andy Muschietti's It, the most successful horror film of all time; Academy Award Best Picture nominee, Hidden Figures (in collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer). For Serenity, Wallfisch has composed a rich, sweeping score that feels right at home amongst the beautiful vistas of the tropics and sea.
