The Dark Night Rhapsodies / Toshifumi Hinata (Not OST)

The Dark Night Rhapsodies’, like his previous work "Angels in Dystopia" (2022), is filled with his own feelings about world affairs, social problems and young people with an uncertain future. The perfect 45-minute sound world, which took years to compose from short motifs created on a daily basis, is the very essence of Hyuga's world. I focused on myself as a composer, while being thoroughly close to the vulnerable. The sad songs are not just sad, and the bright songs are not just bright. The songs have gentle melodies that are easy to listen to, even for listeners who are less familiar with orchestral performances. Performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, which has produced film scores for Netflix, Disney, Hollywood and many others. The recording took place at Rottenbiller Studio, also known as Abbey Road in Budapest. The mixing and mastering engineer was Ono Seigen, a master musician who has worked on projects by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis and others. All 62 channels were mixed down in an acoustic house over a period of 11 days. Released as a full-length SACD-Hybrid disc.
