'Metti, una sera a cena'' is a 1969 film, directed by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, born from a play of the same name and specially transposed for the film medium. It gained immediate acclaim and success-and in particular for actors Florinda Bolkan and Tony Musante it constituted a huge springboard to a flourishing career. So, too, was the music written by Ennio Morricone, who won the Nastro D'Argento award for best score in 1970. Lounge sounds, bossa nova, jazz (particularly the drumming touch) and beats (a genre still in vogue in late 1960s Italy), seasoned with orchestral arrangements conducted by Bruno Nicolai, come together here for one of the Maestro's most celebrated soundtracks. A perfect mix of eroticism and melancholy, for an immortal classic! This edition reissues the original soundtrack originally released in 1969 on Cinevox Record in new artwork, gatefold sleeve and colored vinyl. Also featured is a bonus track, the song ''Hurry to Me'' sung by The Sandpipers, a folk/pop trio most famous at the time for their version of the classic ''Guantanamera.'' Limited Edition.
