CINEMA NOSTALGIA: EL CIELO 2020

A collection of film music by El Cielo 2020, a special band specialising in Astor Piazzolla. The members of the band have been playing film music in secret for some time, and now, in response to fan demand, it has finally been released as an album. The Godfather’ has often been performed as an encore in all-Piazzolla programmes, as well as "New Cinema Paradise" and "Sunflower", which can be regarded as milestones of film music, "Play Your Love" with its impressive piano playing of a fleeting love, the world standard "My Favourite", etc. The album is a condensation of timeless classics such as ‘El Cielo’, ‘El Cielo’, ‘El Cielo’ and ‘El Cielo’. In addition, Piazzolla's Ave Maria, which also appears on the second album of El Cielo 2020, has been re-recorded with a new arrangement. This is a piece that pierces the heart and allows the listener to fully enjoy the essence of film music.

El Cielo 2020 is a quartet of piano, violin, cello and double bass formed to perform the music of Astor Piazzolla. A band for a new era, modernising the style while retaining Piazzolla's fervour, Triptyque is a musical exploration by the same members - violin, piano and cello - that doesn't stick to Piazzolla.
