World premier of early, smoky Bruce Broughton soundtrack for TV “film noir”, directed by Jerry Jameson, starring Bess Armstrong, Roddy McDowell, Howard Duff. Broughton compliments 1940's atmosphere with sultry alto sax theme, expands colors to include strings, flute, piano, percussion plus pair of French horns. Composer weaves seductive trance, then increases dramatic content, culminates in serious climactic confrontation, finally wraps with return of sultry main theme. Intrada CD presents complete score from two-track stereo mixes made for composer during original 1983 sessions. Rare early eighties TV-movie music in stereo from a veteran. Extra treat: liner note readers will enjoy finding composer's father listed as orchestrator! Bruce Broughton conducts. Intrada Signature Edition limited to just 1000 copies!
