Step inside the world of Shatter with this definitive Hammer soundtrack release - celebrating the 1974 crime thriller where martial arts collide with the Mob in a high-stakes double-cross. Following a fractious production in Hong Kong in the early '70s - marked by the dismissal of original director Monte Hellman and strained relations between Hammer and Hong Kong's Shaw Brothers studio - Shatter entered post-production under challenging circumstances. In late 1974, David Lindup composed and recorded a suite of music and songs for the film's score, later assembled into a final mix by music supervisor Philip Martell. Much of this work was ultimately obscured in the final film due to the action, heavy sound effects and processing.
Track ListFor the first time, David Lindup's score is presented as originally intended. This 12" LP restores approximately thirty minutes of music, including the main theme, alternate cues, and incidental pieces.
Pressed on orange vinyl and produced exclusively as a Limited Collector's Edition, this is essential for library music collectors, film-music connoisseurs and fans of funk music.
