DIMENSIONI SONORE 1

Two of the most outstanding Italian composers of Film Music, Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai, have written and recorded expressly for the RCA catalogue a series of original compositions of great interest, which have been collected under a heading called DIMENSIONI SONORE. The first limited and private issue consisted of 10 LP Records, here the first volume by Ennio Morricone restored and digitally edited in limited 500 copies. The music of each track was created in order to give, in a series of expressive dynamic work through constant timbric exploitations and multiform musical parameters, ample possibilities of utilization. Due to the varied possibilities of utilization, we are not giving a description of each composition, as it is easily done with background music. The titles chosen for each composition do not have any meaning with the music itself. The only way to discern the meaning and the feeling of these compositions is to listen to them. In the restoration of the old tapes, we have not used electronic additions or other kinds of filters used today. Special attention has been taken to preserve the original sound of the original recording sessions; the sound of each instrument is absolutely the same as when it was first recorded. The listening feeling is intact in the same way as the Composers originally intended. --- from the label
