A 3 CD box set in coverpack with 4 fold-out sides with a 12 pages booklet that contains the most famous themes of the roman Maestro spanning a 50 years long career, from 1957 to today. Armando Trovajoli is well known for his poliedricity of composer, pianist and orchestra conductor, from the stage musicals to Film Music. He did play music with Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Miles Davis and Django Reinhardt and he has been one of the greatest performers of Gershwin, when he was invited from the S.Cecilia Academy to commemorate the death anniversary performing memorable concerts in Rome, Palermo and Neaples of “Concerto in fa” and “Rhapsody in bue”. For Cinema Trovajoli has written more than 300 scores collaborating with the most important Italian directors:La ciociara, Ieri oggi domani, Matrimonio all'italiana (Vittorio De Sica)- Anna, Don Giovanni in Sicilia (Alberto Lattuada)-La famiglia, Che ora e, Una giornata particolare (Ettore Scola)- Operazione S.Gennaro, Profumo di donna (Dino Risi)- In nome del papa re, Nell'anno del Signore, La Tosca (Luigi Magni). His music accompanies the images and the lines of the greatest italian actors: Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Silvana Mangano, Nino Manfredi, Stefania Sandrelli, Vittorio Gassman, Alberto Sordi and many more. Maestro Trovajoli dedicated a big part of his artistic success to stage Musical, thanks to them mostly he did obtain his celebrity.The long and prolific artistic relationship with Garinei e Giovannini started in 1962 with Rugantino. The plot of the protagonist placed in the XIX century Rome, the famous Roma nun fa la stupida stasera, the extraordinary artists who performed during the various editions, made of this Stage musical a point of reference of the Italian stage Musicals. The Stage activity features other famous titles like Ciao Rudy, Aggiungi un posto a tavola, Bravo, Vecanze romane and others Many his songs, from movies and stage musicals (but not only) are international hits like El negro zumbon, Amici, Mambo bacan, Nun je da retta Roma, Angola adeus, Tema di Giuditta, Che m'e 'mparato a ffa. Since 2006 Armando Trovajoli is honourary member of S.Cecilia Academy.
