Hirokazu Tanaka is a Japanese composer best known worldwide for his game music for the Metroid and Mother series, as well as music for the animated TV series and film Pokemon. This 2-CD set contains 50 tracks carefully selected from the 400 private demo tapes he left behind over a 30-year period from 1981 to 2010. (Supervised and edited by Yusuke Sato).


From the first demo of "Pool (Summer of an 11 year old)" from 'Pikapika Pika Massai Chuu', a candidate theme song made before the Pokemon TV animation broadcast, to NHK Minna no Uta "Fanta Grandpa", "Tonosama Toad" and many other prototype demos of game music. It is also full of rare sound sources, such as those from the period when he improvised and layered hand-played music.
