In the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the legendary archer Robin of Locksley (Kevin Costner) escapes from prison in Jerusalem with the help of a fellow Moorish prisoner, Azeem (Morgan Freeman). Together, Robin of Locksley and Azeem lead Sherwood Forest outlaws against the cruel Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman), who covets strong-willed Maid Marian (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio).
