GUNS & TALKS

Jang Jin (Someone Special, My Son), the director of 1998's action-comedy hit Guns & Talks about an idiosyncratic quintet of assassins, attempts to lighten up the subject of death with comical flair. The film's soundtrack, Guns & Talks OST, is the result of three months of intensive brainstorming by the eccentric director and musical composer Han Jae Kwon (SILMIDO).
The overall sound of the soundtrack provides for a dreamy, hypnotic state in the likeness of the killers' blank, dazed stares, although some trendy jazzy tango rhythms and intermittent usage of electric guitar spice up the film here and there. One of the tracks titled Crazy Ophelia is an original score written specifically for the Hamlet opera scene in the movie and befits the emotions of Ophelia lamenting her torment. All in all, Guns &Talks OST features a kaleidoscope of versatile sounds from rock and techno to full orchestration.
